Strategic Change Plan Proposal Draft 1
Submit a first draft of your strategic plan proposal of approximately 6-8 pages for instructor review, following these guidelines:
- Choose a relevant organization that you know well as context for your strategic plan proposal. If possible, create a change proposal based on one or more of the strategic issues that you identified from your SWOT analysis. Clearly explain the rationale for why you selected this organization and why change is needed.
- Following the example presented in the readings, complete the current and future situation charts in the McKinsey 7s Worksheet. The future situation chart should include recommendations for change in the strategy, structure, systems, skills, staff, styles, and shared values. In your proposal, describe the changes that are needed in each area, clearly indicating when no change is needed.
- Describe the principles of leading change that you would implement to facilitate an effective change initiative in each area.
- Discuss how various phases of the Strategic Planning Process outlined by Edmondson (2018, p. 40) may apply to this change initiative.
- Outline a plan for implementation and evaluation and highlight methods for responding to constraints and overcoming potential challenges.
Apply APA format and include the completed McKinsey 7s Worksheet in your final submission.
