a) Using the “point-by-point solution” method for swing curves, prove (by using manual calculation) that the system will not be stable if the breaker is not operated until 0.5 seconds. Draw the line for the swing curve and give your comments.

b) Using an Excel Sheet, determine the maximum clearing time angle before the system loses stability.
