As new technologies are developed, the nature of eLearning is in a constant state of change and evolution. From the days of correspondence courses completed with paper and pens or typewriters to massive open online courses (MOOCs), eLearning has evolved to meet the diverse learning needs of individuals and groups.

Reflect on your own learning preferences. Describe your ideal eLearning environment including the ideal class size, the technologies you prefer to use to engage and learn authentically, what motivates you to learn, and how eLearning can accommodate your individual learning style.

The ideal class size in a productive virtual classroom should be relatively small. Instructors can give each student individualized attention, lead discussions, and meet their specific academic needs when a course size is appropriate. (Picciano, 1) A class size of ten to fifteen students, in my opinion, is best for encouraging student engagement and collaboration. In the performing arts, intimate classroom settings are typical. Thirty students are unable to be seen, graded, communicated with, or get real-time feedback simultaneously. Not in a beneficial fashion. As far as technology, an interactive video lecture offers a more enjoyable learning environment in a course. Educators may encourage critical thinking and active learning by utilizing resources such as Zoom, VR, and chatroom discussions. With the use of virtual reality (VR) technology, students may participate in hands-on learning, practice skills, and explore virtual environments in a unique way.
